Rosh Hashanah Shofar Blowing - Day 1
The Highlight and most important part of the Rosh Hashanah service is the Shofar Blowing.

It is a time of rededication to G-d; renewal; and repentance.

If there was only ONE thing that you were able to join us for during the whole Rosh Hashanah; it would/should be the blowing of the Shofar. It is during this time that we coronate G-d as our king. This auspicious time is biblically mandated - and therefore NOT TO BE MISSED!

Tashlich ceremony (& Shofar blowing) at Cedar pond
It is a custom to go to a body of water with fish, on Rosh Hashanah, to symbolicaly throw our sins to the depths of the sea.

Join us at the "Cedar Pond". We'll meet on the "boat-ramp" at the "Rosenfeld Park" - at 54 Cedar Street, in Milford, for this age-old ceremony. (Click the link below to see a map of the location). Feel free to bring along Challah or bread to "serve" the fish.

The ceremony will conclude with the blasting of the Shofar (for anyone that missed it in the morning).

High Holidays - Yom Kippur - Mincha & the concluding Ne'ilah
Lively, Engaging and inclusive services

The Mincha prayer includes the recitation of Maftir Yonah. It is the story of the prophet Yona & the whale when he was sent to convince the city of Ninveh to repent.

The Ne'ilah service is the conclusion of the entire services of the day. It is during this prayer; as the gates of heaven close for the day, when we are assured of being sealed in the book of life.

The prayer concludes with a joyous march song, followed by the Shofar blast.

Yom Kippur - Wicked-good, Break-the-fast buffet
At the conclusion of all the sevices will be the Havdalah/seperation service and a Break-The-Fast buffet. This buffet has become the envy of everyone - so make sure you're there to enjoy it.

We will also do the Kiddush L'vanah service - the blessing of the moon (cloud-permitting).

Now it's on to the Sukkah building and preparations for the Joyous holiday of Sukkot!
